Today...

...will be spent on the road. I am driving to Augusta, then on to Anderson. Going to Anderson will involve back tracking, because there dosen't really seem to be a highway from Augusta to Anderson and I don't want to drive on country roads alone as the sun is going down. So my trip today will actually be from Columiba, to Augusta, back to Columiba and then on to Anderson. Sounds like fun...

Into The Future

Both Frashley's have been very busy lately! I am only able to blog because AM, our suitemate, had to do something and couldn't go to the gym with me. I took that to mean that I had a valid excuse not to go either.
Yesterday we went to a career fair. We both talked to the representatives from Sea Mist resort in Myrtle Beach. They are looking for interns. It would be so much fun if we could both do our internship at the same place. They are supposed to get in touch with us. I made a contact with Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia. I have already gone online and filled out the application for employment. The property is outside of Atlanta. I do not want to do my internship in Anderson again, but I don't want to go so far away that I can't visit Shawn and have Shawn visit me easily. If I spend the summer in Charleston, Myrtle Beach, or near Atlanta I could still drive home on my day(s) off. I guess I will wait and see.
Both Frashley's also got invited back for a second interview by Augusta National Golf Course to work during the Masters Tournament. We are having to go back for the second interview on Friday. This means a lot of driving for me because I am going home this weekend. I will be the one driving because A's poor Pony is having problems. I will have to drive to Augusta after Statistics and work and then drive to Anderson when I get back to Columbia. I would just stay this weekend to make things easier on myself, but next weekend I am going to Charleston. I am super excited about going to Charleston. I will be seeing my good friend, K. K and I met because she is my awesome friend, J1's roommate. I have not seen her since 2004. She is tons and tons of fun. I have not been to Charleston since I went to visit C of C when I was a senior in high school.
I have been looking forward to graduating, as everyone knows. I am already getting ideas about how I want to decorate and what sort of furniture I will need for my new life. These are some things that I like.

Thursday

Today the Frashleys went to the Columbianna Mall. We spent the afternoon shopping at the Benefit Makeup counter. I was sooo bad. I already bought two pairs of shoes this Monday. I bought the cute little nude tap shoes I have had my eye on forever. They are so feminine. I also got black platform heels. Today I got Georgia Peach Blush at Benefit. I wanted Dallas Blush but it was way too fushia colored. It looked like stage makeup. I won't be shopping again for a while. Oh well, I do work four days a week. Have a great weekend!

The Love Embrace of the Universe

Valentines Day was an A+ day for both Frashleys and their dear friend Ekta. It is our understanding that our friend Papa Ridgeback also had a good Valentines Day.

I will begin by describing my Valentines Day. I got up at 6:30 and took a shower, drove into campus, and went to Statistics. I got my Statistics test back and made an 88, not too shabby. Then I went to my job. Shawn had asked me a few days earlier about the zip code and suite number of my office. Since he had asked me these questions I sort of knew to be expecting something. I wasn't, however, sure of what to expect. I spent the morning at my desk wondering if it was a singing telegram, flowers, or a Vermont Teddy Bear. I both love and hate surprises. Since I knew I was expecting a delivery the anticipation was killing me all morning. My shift was over at noon and I still had not gotten anything. I was at this point bursting with curiosity. My good friend Ekta called and I met her for lunch. She was also getting a Valentines delivery, but there were some complications with hers so we had to go on an excursion to pick it up. We found the place we were supposed to pick up her gift at, The Cloud Nine Market. The Cloud Nine Market turned out to a really fun kitchen emporium type of store with all kinds of neat stuff. Ekta's gift was a bottle of wine wrapped in all kinds of cute Valentines paper, tissue paper, ribbons and bows. She still hasn't opened it to see what kind of wine it is because she likes the festive wrapping so much. We then went to Ekta's apartment where she had flowers awaitng her. Next we got a call from my work that my delivery had arrived. We went back to FivePoints to collect it. Shawn had sent me a big beautiful bouquet of SUNFLOWERS. I love love love sunflowers. They are my favorite. So yellow and sunshiney. Ashley recieved a bear, chocolate, and flowers from her new boyfriend Donald. She really likes him. All of us (me, Ashley and Ekta) are in agreement that 2007 has been the best Valentines ever!!

Sunday Night at The Dollhouse

Shawn came this weekend and we had so much fun! He took me shopping at the Columbianna Mall, then we got takeout from Carrabba's, watched a movie and just hung out together. When we were in the mall we attempted to go to Build-A-Bear. Years ago my Mom gave me a stuffed horse from Build-A-Bear. I keep the stuffed animal horse on my bed and it does not wear any clothes. Ashley always makes fun of the stuffed horse for being naked. I have seen some of the clothes and accessories that Build-A-Bear has for stuffed animals so I figured while we were at the mall I would buy the horse something cute to wear, mostly to humor Ashley. Shawn and I went into the store and I was trying to look through all the clothing. Me and enough children to fill an entire elementry school. It was a total zoo in the Build-A-Bear. After about two minutes in the store Shawn and I just exchanged a look and bolted. The kids were driving us crazy and it was really funny how we both had to make a run for it.
We had such a good time over the weekend I am feeling a little blah now that he has left. I will not see him again until Friday night, probably late since I have school and then a commute and he has to work. When I went to TCTC I saw Shawn several times a week. Ashley is not here tonight. Usually, after years and years of having roommates, I treasure an evening spent entirely alone. I guess feeling sad about Shawn's departure is making me wish A were here so I would have some company. Like I said, this is really rare for me. I am a person who really needs and enjoys her alone time. In my alone time I usually clean up our little apartment, listen to music and dance, exercise, nap, make crafts such as collages, do laundry or watch TV. For some reason I am just not in the mood to do any of these things. I am also reading a book that is somewhat depressing. I am reading How To Make Love Like A Porn Star, which is Jenna Jameson's memior. She has had a really hard life.

The Lovely and Talented

This weekend I had to opportunity to spend some time with my friend, the lovely and talented, Lindsay Keane and her family. Lindsay "Lulu" was in Columbia visiting her younger sister who is a student at USC. Lindsay brought her three year old son into town with her. I have known him since the day he was born. He is such a joy. I read to him. I read him a book called "Knuffle Bunny". It was pretty good. He liked it so much he made me read the story twice. I love children's books. The are the best. A few of my favorite are The Giving Tree, Dog Breath, and The Rainbow Fish. Lindsay has always been very artistic and is gifted with a beautiful voice. She has recently gottten a producer and has been putting out songs like crazy. Watch out, she is going to be famous!

Time Well Wasted

I just woke up from a very long and luxurious nap. Yum.
I am about to go have dinner somewhere fun with my friend, R. I have not seen her in almost a year. I am ready to go do something fun. I feel like I have been just barely surviving all week. You know, just getting by. Treading water, keeping my head above the water. HRTM 270 is not the easiest class to be excited about going to, but I am determined this semester will be my best ever. I am really learning a lot in my Management 371 class.
For the past few days the weather has been really yucky. It reminds me of how much I love spring and summer. I am really looking forward to the arrival of spring this year. I know it is bad for you (I know!) but I do love to lay out. I feel like I look so much better (exotic even) with a tan.
Today I participated in an experiment for a doctoral candidate in the business school. I am not supposed to discuss it, so I won't. It was not very stressful, but we were free to leave at any time with no negative consequences should we have become stressed out.
Tomorrow Shawn is coming into town, yay! I hope he is in the mood for Carrabba's. It is sort of one of "our places".
This month I will be helping my good friend Benson, he is directing a teen pageant here in town. It should be fun. He is the most fun friend I think I have ever had. Last night he and I looked at a wedding magazine together in the bookstore. He has the best taste and is full of good ideas!
So, have a great weekend and hopefully spring is not too far away! Stay warm!
