Changes

I think changes are good. Especially when changes are for the better. Recently, there have been some changes and The Frashleys have had a parting of ways. I have moved out of the suite (still have to go back for some of my shoes!) and am currently living with a good friend. I am having so much fun staying with him, but am actively looking for a new place to stay. Hopefully within the next few days I will have moved into a place. I can't wait to be settled in somewhere. In the spirit of change I am discontinuing The Dollhouse. By next week I hope to have created a new blog for myself and will post the address here when it is up. I have also changed my eBay user ID. I am now Manhattan-Bound-Belle. Hope everyone has a great week!!

Just Wondering...

Sometimes students in my major (Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management) do their internships at Disney. If I were to ever persue doing something like this, I would settle for nothing less than spending my summer as one of the princesses. I heard you have to be tall to be a Disney Princess, so that is in my favor (as well as to be a Rockette or Vegas Show Girl, not that I am that talented of a jazz dancer). I was just wondering who I could audition for? I love Pocahontas, but I am only partially Native American (I am a registered as part Cherokee with the Cherokee Nation). Maybe I could tan a lot ...or maybe I could be Belle from Beauty in the Beast...

Wish List Updated

Previously I had put a turquoise cocktail ring on my wish list. Apparently a turquoise cocktail ring is not an easy thing to come by. The only one I found was at a little jewlry store in Five Points (that has some great liquor decanters by the way). I love the way it was set but not the stone itself. I decided today what I really need to want is a pearl ring. I have pearl teardrop earrings which are a family heirloom and also a pearl drop necklace that my mother gave me for Christmas one year when I was in high school. They are both set in silver, so the ring I am wishing for would also need to be set in silver. Just think, then I would have the whole set...

Having a Carrie Moment...

I just finished reading o.r.p.'s blog, which is something I do on a regular basis (in addition to reading PR and Whitley's blogs). I am having a "Carrie" from Sex and the City moment, so I am sitting at my computer writing about my thoughts in typical Carrie fashion. If I were Carrie Bradshaw, as I was typing this is what my voice over would say...

It seems as if no matter how much time and distance we get from a bad relationship, some effects still linger. Will we always be haunted by ghosts of boyfriends past?

I could really identify with o.r.p.'s blog today. Former relationships are indeed haunting. I have been in the best relationship for over three years, but somehow I will never forget the sting of how Boyfriend X and his successor Boyfriend Y treated me. I mean no matter how many years have passed it still stays with me. It dosen't still sting, it is more that I will never forget how the sting felt. It made a lasting impression, that's for sure.
o.r.p. ~ by the way, is terrific and beautiful!

For more o.r.p. see http://orguide.blogspot.com/

Now I must go watch on episode of S and C on DVD and get a Carrie fix.

Charleston

Over the weekend I took a little vacation to the "Holy City". Katie and Ansley were the best hostesses!! I had a wonderful time and wouldn't mind making a move to Charleston sometime in the near future.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame...

After all was done and said
The Gamecocks came out ahead
All the Fans went back home
And left Fran at the Roost alone
forgetting homework with no regret
Out her window she watched the sunset
These pictures she took
So you could have a look

Good Job Gamecocks!!!

I Miss This Man...

...and I can't wait to see him again!

Queen of Clean

Today when I got in from my weekend excursion to Charleston, the suite was a disaster. I am talking a huge mess. It looked like a tornado had swept through the living room. There was trash from takeout in the bedroom. I went into a frenzy and have been cleaning it on and off ever since. If there is one thing I can't stand, it's a mess. Now a few years ago I was not this way. When I had my first apartment with my very first roommate, Jenna, she was definetly the more clean of the two of us. I guess I am changing my ways. I change my sheets and do laundry 1X a week. I pick up after myself. My roommate the best Frashley ever, but is not exactly on board with my sentiments about cleaning. The pictures of our teeny tiny apartment. The living room is an "after" picture. I should have taken a "before". I'll let you guess which side of the room is mine from the photos above.

Today...

...will be spent on the road. I am driving to Augusta, then on to Anderson. Going to Anderson will involve back tracking, because there dosen't really seem to be a highway from Augusta to Anderson and I don't want to drive on country roads alone as the sun is going down. So my trip today will actually be from Columiba, to Augusta, back to Columiba and then on to Anderson. Sounds like fun...

Into The Future

Both Frashley's have been very busy lately! I am only able to blog because AM, our suitemate, had to do something and couldn't go to the gym with me. I took that to mean that I had a valid excuse not to go either.
Yesterday we went to a career fair. We both talked to the representatives from Sea Mist resort in Myrtle Beach. They are looking for interns. It would be so much fun if we could both do our internship at the same place. They are supposed to get in touch with us. I made a contact with Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia. I have already gone online and filled out the application for employment. The property is outside of Atlanta. I do not want to do my internship in Anderson again, but I don't want to go so far away that I can't visit Shawn and have Shawn visit me easily. If I spend the summer in Charleston, Myrtle Beach, or near Atlanta I could still drive home on my day(s) off. I guess I will wait and see.
Both Frashley's also got invited back for a second interview by Augusta National Golf Course to work during the Masters Tournament. We are having to go back for the second interview on Friday. This means a lot of driving for me because I am going home this weekend. I will be the one driving because A's poor Pony is having problems. I will have to drive to Augusta after Statistics and work and then drive to Anderson when I get back to Columbia. I would just stay this weekend to make things easier on myself, but next weekend I am going to Charleston. I am super excited about going to Charleston. I will be seeing my good friend, K. K and I met because she is my awesome friend, J1's roommate. I have not seen her since 2004. She is tons and tons of fun. I have not been to Charleston since I went to visit C of C when I was a senior in high school.
I have been looking forward to graduating, as everyone knows. I am already getting ideas about how I want to decorate and what sort of furniture I will need for my new life. These are some things that I like.

Spread Sunshine All Over the Place

Just put on a happy face.
Haven't ridden in these for a while.
My next must have: a pencil skirt. To go with my little Mary Jane tap shoes. Have a great weekend!!
