HRTM 590 - Fantasy Wedding Project

Something old, something new, something borrowed . . . and something due?
It is due, and soon, my HRTM 590 project that is. I would rather have a project due than a baby anyday if that was what it sounded like with something due. I have been super productive today and have gotten a lot of the project done. I at least have a huge head start. It is not due until the weeek after Thanksgiving break. I thought I might share some of my ideas.

Oh, look: It's me at my wedding with two of my guests.

Here I am in my fabulous wedding gown.

This is my best friend and Maid of Honor, Ashley Frashley. She is in charge of making the wedding party behave. You better do what she says!

This is my wedding invitation. I made this one on the computer but I would have it professionally done if it was for real. On really heavy paper. The ceremony will be taking place at PR's home. The reception will be immediatley following at the Hilton where I did my internship. I will post my menu when I finish it, it is really great.

Oh, my daughters. Oh, my little girls! Where has time gone? Only yesterday it seems like you were in college, doing French homework and going to football games, calling me after 9pm on your cell phones to score free minutes, dancing to Donna Summers in your suite and coming home on weekends so we could sit together during the 6.

Now look at you. You have both reached the full blossom of Frashleyhood and become irresistible mermaid man-magnets swimming above the anonymous sea of chum and female floatsom.

When I start thinking the day might be right around the corner when I'll walk you both down the aisle to hand you over like an unblemished Baccarat Arlequin decanter to a slobbering, rabid hyena rolling around on the floor scratching himself with fleas ... it's horrible, and I can't do it.

I won't do it, not ever ... and neither one of your moms can make me.

Hope you're still comfortable with the yellow. For a few minutes last night I thought about going semi-black and white: if the bridesmaids wore black dresses but had yellow wings, like butterflies ... then I thought Nah, too many people would think they were bumblebees and trying swatting them with rolled-up newspapers as they came down the aisle.
